“Summer 2024 we will go to the states for our honeymoon! The plan is to rent a car and drive part of Route 66 from Oklahoma City to Santa Monica and then drive up the west coast to San Fransisco. Mostly we will be stopping at cute 50s diners, small shops and unique sites along Route 66, but were also going to enjoy the grand views at the Grand Canyon, gamble away some money in Vegas, see the Hollywood sign and snap a pic with the Golden gate bridge. ”

The Wigwam Motels, also known as the "Wigwam Villages," was built during the 1930s and 1940s. The rooms are built in the form of tipis, mistakenly referred to as wigwams. They are very distinctive historic landmarks. There's only 3 Wigwam Motels still in business and two of those are located on the historic U.S. Route 66.

The Blue Hole is a circular, bell-shaped pool located along Route 66 that is a tourist attraction and one of the most popular dive destinations in the US. The Blue Hole is a clear blue body of water with a constant 62 °F (17 °C) temperature. While the surface is only 80 feet (24 m) in diameter, it expands to a diameter of 130 feet (40 m) at the bottom. The depth of the main pool is more than 80 feet (24 m) below the surface.
