Tak, fordi I har været med på vores rejse!
“Hi everyone! We are planning a wanderlust adventure to Palau and the islands of Papua New Guinea and surrounds. Full of very unique wildlife and underwater activities, complimented with enough relaxation, a true combination of the things we love the most! If anyone would like to contribute, you have the flexibility to specify the amount yourself, choose one experience, or the experience can be shared by multiple contributors. We have even been as brave as to create a "Question Mark Activity", where you could offer any suggestion and we will do it! (should we get nervous? hehe!) Can't wait to see all of your faces there! Counting down the days! FOR SOUTH AFRICAN GUESTS: From experience, sometimes these overseas payment sites can be sticky with our humble Randela's, so here you can transfer directly to our Honeymoon ABSA account: Bank name: ABSA Account number: 4074627086 Account holder: Rikard Taljaard Branch code: 632005 Thank you all!”

Twin Tunnels is named for two big vertical lava tubes in the sea mount. The tubes are next to each other where you can dive down to where they join and open up on the side of a reef wall at about 36m. The walls of the lava tubes are covered in fans and whip corals, and occasionally you find nurse sharks resting on the sand at the bottom!

This site is surprisingly not a white beach, the island is actually edged by mangroves. It was an American military base during the WWII, with the code name “White Beach”. When the troops departed, they pushed everything into the sea. There is plenty here to explore: trucks, pieces of machinery, bullets and old coke bottles. An attractive and incredible macro life. Nudis-galore, jawfish, pipefish, harlequin shrimp, mandarin fish and tons of juvenile fish. Along the edge of the mangroves, you can see pyjama cardinals and archer fish loitering amongst the tree roots!
One of the most famous dive sites in the Solomon Islands, Leru Cut is an indent into the side of a small island which runs for about a hundred meters, around 12m deep. You can surface at the end of the “cut”, and feel bizarre being in scuba gear in the interior of the island, while looking up at huge trees with vines hanging down and birds calling!

This is one of the few remaining places divers can experience the sights and sounds of the enormous schools of the "Garanx Sexfasciatus" that once infested the Pacific. These silvery jacks form an immense living wall around divers as they hang suspended in the passage.
